Fact: False. Between 2016-17 and 2017-18, India’s honey exports rose 17% in value and 14% in quantity.

Explanation: India’s honey exports increased from Rs 55.78 crore in the financial year 2016-17 to Rs 65.36 crore in 2017-18, that is by 17% in value, according to Agriculture Exchange of India data.

By quantity, the amount of honey exported increased from 45.06 billion tonnes in 2016-17 to 51.55 billion tonnes in 2017-18, which is a 14% rise.
