Claim: Of the 15 crore (150 million) loans given under the Mudra Yojana, 75% were given to women entrepreneurs. Under the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana, about 6 crore (60 million) women’s self-help groups are associated with the scheme. Such self-help groups received more than Rs 75,000 crore. Fact: Partly true. 72% of these loans have been given to women, but as of December 2018, financial support provided to self-help groups was Rs 6,058.64 crore--8% of the sum claimed by the PM.
