Claim: “मुद्रा योजना में 15 करोड़ ऋणों में से लगभग 75% ऋण महिला उद्यमियों को मिले हैं।  ‘दीन दयाल अंत्योदय योजना’ के तहत लगभग 6 करोड़ महिलाएं स्वयं सहायता समूहों से जुड़ी हुई हैं।  ऐसे सेल्फ हेल्प गुप्स को 75 हजार करोड़ रुपए से अधिक ऋण उपलब्ध कराया गया है.”

(Of the 15 crore (150 million) loans given under the Mudra Yojana, 75% were given to women entrepreneurs. Under the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana, about 6 crore (60 million) women’s self-help groups are associated with the scheme. Such self-help groups received more than Rs 75,000 crore)

Fact: Partly true. 72% of these loans have been given to women, but as of December 2018, financial support provided to self-help groups was Rs 6,058.64 crore–8% of the sum claimed by the PM.

Explanation: Some 15 crore loans were distributed as of February 1, 2019, and 72% of these loans were given to women, according to this reply in the Rajya Sabha on February 12, 2019.  

However, the total financial support provided to self-help groups (SHGs) until December 2018 in the form of community investment support fund (CISF) and revolving fund (RF) amounts to Rs 6,058.64 crore, according this reply on February 11, 2019, in the Rajya Sabha.
