Claim: In the history of independent India, no government has brought such a huge and beneficial scheme for the farmers as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. We intend to spend around Rs 75,000 crore, providing Rs 6,000 assistance to marginal farmers: PM Modi

Fact: Partly true, Odisha and Telangana have launched similar schemes that are more inclusive.

Explanation: Although PM KISAN is the largest in terms of allocation, the governments of Odisha and Telangana have launched Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) (Rs 10,000 crore ) and Rythu Bandhu (Rs 12,000 crore), respectively.

While PM-KISAN will benefit small and marginal farmers (with less than 2 hectares of land), KALIA is more inclusive as it will benefit small and marginal farmers, landless agricultural households, and vulnerable agriculture households.
